WHOE WE ARE

Community Care – Somalia is a non- governmental, non-partisan, non-political, non-profit, impartial, voluntary organization operating in Southern-central Somalia. It was established in Mogadishu, Somalia in 2020 by a group of highly motivated Somali professionals from Somalia, together with professionals from Somali Diaspora after they were deeply touched by the devastating effect of conflict and displacement of communities in southern Somalia. The formation of Community Care – Somalia was informed by the need to improve the socio economic conditions of the disadvantaged communities in Somalia with particular emphasis on IDPs in South and Central of Somalia to alleviate IDPS suffering which was on its peak at that time as a result of frequent civil strives and other natural disasters which led to large scale starvation and massive displacement.

The NGO also sought to accelerate development of the rural / urban poor areas, increase employment opportunities, and reduce poverty, morbidity and mortality rates of women and children.
