CCS Participates in WASH Cluster Meeting in Southwest State

Community Care Somalia (CCS) participated in the WASH Cluster Meeting held in Southwest State, reaffirming its commitment to strengthening coordination and collaboration in the delivery of water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) interventions across the region.

The meeting served as a critical coordination platform, bringing together humanitarian partners, implementing agencies, and sector stakeholders to review ongoing WASH activities, address operational challenges, and align response strategies. Discussions focused on improving service coverage, avoiding duplication of efforts, enhancing information-sharing mechanisms, and prioritizing areas with the most urgent needs.

Effective coordination within the WASH Cluster is essential to ensuring that vulnerable communitiesโ€”particularly internally displaced persons and underserved rural populationsโ€”have sustainable access to safe drinking water, adequate sanitation facilities, and hygiene awareness programs.

Community Care Somalia (CCS) remains dedicated to working collaboratively with partners to strengthen integrated WASH responses. The organization continues to advocate for improved service delivery standards and equitable access to clean water, safe sanitation, and hygiene education, recognizing that these are fundamental components of public health, dignity, and community resilience.

Every family deserves a healthier future, and coordinated action is key to achieving lasting impact across Southwest State.
